Distilled right here on the farm from our own organically grown rosemary, our rosemary hydrosol is a great addition to your skin and hair care routine. Hydrosol is the by-product of the steam distillation process, containing small amounts of plant material and essential oil, so it has many of the same properties as the essential oil but in a milder form so it can be used directly on the body. Because rosemary is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial, hydrosol is great for combatting rashes, dandruff, acne, and itchy skin. Its antiseptic properties also make it a great disinfectant for both skin and surfaces around the house.
A 2015 study (among others) has shown that rosemary essential oil is effective in promoting hair growth, so our rosemary hydrosol is a great scalp mist that can help strengthen hair follicles and prevent hair thinning.
Because rosemary is energizing and stimulating for the brain, rosemary hydrosol is a great facial mist to use if you need a little pick-me-up or need to improve alertness.
